This result was a bit of a surprise, to me at least; SSK has not had a particularly good season so far, and was lying just around the relegation line, while JBK was sitting in fourth place. With their win, SSK has pushed Stockholm teams AIK and Hammarby down to 11th and 12th place respectively, despite AIK's victory against Umeå (see below).

Highlights from TV

This game was quite the cleanly-played shootout, with a record attendance for the season (1775). Most of the goals were pretty, some were less so... K/G goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl perhaps had a lapse in concentration once or twice— for goals 1 and 3, she appeared to have the ball in her hands, but somehow the ball scooted past her into the goal. On the other hand, she had a couple good saves as well. Johanna Almgren's goal was a nice bit of individual effort, although I think the maybe Sara Lindén might have gotten credit for an assist, with her nice leading pass that took Almgren cleanly past the LdB defense. Manon Melis did a hat-trick for LdB FC.
