In what has been an extremely busy week, the Atlanta Beat have now signed free agent midfielder McCall Zerboni. Zerboni played for the Los Angeles Sol in 2009. She played in 10 games, starting in four contests, and assisted on one goal.
Zerboni played her college soccer at UCLA, where she scored 13 goals and 9 assists. She was a 7th round draft selection (#47 overall) in the 2009 WPS draft.
Atlanta also signed Sharolta Nonen, an expansion draft selection, to a contract. Nonen also played for Los Angeles in 2009 and is a veteran on the Canadian National Team. She does not count against the Beat's international player total.
The Beat will continue to be busy next week at the WPS draft next Friday. They have the 1st overall choice in that draft.
